Selected Blends: AZROQ Music Formats

Simply music: without the philosophical rants and technical jargon.

All titles subject to change along with genre and historical revisions [and we know everyone's fav's are not represented].

Songs that reached saturation radio airplay have been avoided unless it contained a really redeeming quality, or you choose a "pop" category.

Some songs may appear in multiple formats/playlists. The total number of songs and hours without repeats within a particular format is a minimum.

"Building" means we are constantly adding, rotating, refining and occasionally deleting.

Blend of Electronic, Dance, House, Modern Rock, Alt Rock, Mash-ups, Remixes, Hip-Hop with sprinkles of Rap, Trance, Funk, Ska, World Beat and more spanning 3 decades. A touch of eclectic but not too esoteric. Our most requested format appealing to a wide demographic.

Cktl 192 260 + 17+ hours
From the Rat Pack to "Wave" jazz to Chill club sounds, our 2nd most requested format.

Covers and Samples 200 + 13+ hours
Newer songs sampling old songs and/or artists covering great songs by other artists. All genres but mostly contemporary with a beat and vibe. Does tend to rock since so many samples and covers come from the 60's & 70's. Our 3rd most requested format that seems to strike a chord.

50's and 60's 560+ 23+ hours This decade ends in late 1963 and includes selective Elvis songs. Another 25 titles by the King are available by request (adds 1+ hours).

60's PRS 830+ 38+ hours
This decade runs 1964 - 1970. Top 40, Motown and the British Invasion less the Beatles & the Stones. They can be added by request (90+ songs/ 4+ hours).

FM 60's - 70's 800+ 53+ hours
From 1965 to late 1970 when music found a new direction and radio frequency. Deep album tracks and memories. Bring your own bong, black light and lava lamp.

70's - 80's Pop and Dance 900+
building 40+ hours
Top 40, dance/disco, hits, saturation radio airplay with a lot of discretion as to who made the cut.

70's - 80's Rock 2075+ 146+ hours
From 1971 through 1990 including hair, metal, punk, underground, FM and more. What seemed very different then has blended into a transitional alternative soundtrack.

90's PM Rock through Today 1400+ building 80+ hours
To some extent covered in ATG 1K
